Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and if you're spending it at the Grand Canyon, you don't have to call it a night after sunset. On Saturday, October 31, The Foodie Club in Tusayan hosts its Halloween Night DJ Party: a live DJ, no cover and 6 giveaways, one mile from the South Rim entrance.

How the Night Works
6–9 PM: Halloween Happy Hour
Start early. Happy Hour runs from 6 to 9 PM, which is the right time to grab dinner and a first round before the music starts. The full menu is available, from burgers and tacos to Carne Asada Fries, and breakfast is served all day if that's what you're craving after a day on the trails.
10 PM–2 AM: Live DJ, Music for Every Taste
At 10 PM the DJ takes over until 2 AM with a mix of music for every taste. Want to hear a song? Ask the DJ. There's no cover and no dress code.
What to Drink
Our full bar is built for a night like this. A few of the drinks people order most:
- Carajillo: espresso and Licor 43, served cold. Our signature, and a good way to keep going until 2 AM.
- Grand Canyon Mule: vodka, lime and ginger beer in a copper mug.
- House Margarita: classic, or in mango, strawberry or banana.
- Tequila Sunrise: tequila, orange juice and grenadine.
- Draft beer: Grand Canyon Amber Ale or Colimita Lager.
See the full cocktail guide for the rest of the list.
The Halloween Giveaway: 6 Winners
We're giving away prizes to six people:
- 3 beer buckets: three winners, one bucket each.
- 2 shots each: three more winners, six shots in total.
How to enter: follow us on Instagram and Facebook and like the giveaway post. The full rules are on the post.
You must be 21 or older with a valid ID to claim alcoholic prizes.
Plan a Halloween Day at the Grand Canyon
A Saturday at the South Rim and a party at night fit together easily:
- Morning: breakfast in Tusayan on the way in, then head into the park. See what's open to eat inside the park right now.
- Afternoon: hike or drive the rim viewpoints. Pack water and lunch, since in-park food options are limited this fall.
- Sunset: at the end of October the sun sets before 6 PM at the South Rim. Watch it from a rim viewpoint like Mather Point or Yavapai Point.
- Evening: drive back to Tusayan for Happy Hour and dinner, then stay for the DJ.
Where to Stay on Halloween Night
In-park lodges at the South Rim are closed to overnight guests through October 31 because of the park's water restrictions, so most visitors are staying in Tusayan. Several hotels are a short walk or drive from The Foodie Club. If your in-park reservation was cancelled, our lodging closure guide covers your options.
Getting Home Safely
Elk and deer cross Highway 64 after dark, especially between Tusayan and the park. If you're drinking, walk back to your hotel or plan a designated driver.
